In 2007, Janet Young established The Natural Pathway, LLC, which was born out of her passion to provide practical information that empowers people to make healthier lifestyle choices.
Dr. Janet is a Wholistic Nutrition Specialist, as well as a Health Educator, Health Coach, Speaker, and Writer. She is a former Nutrition Instructor for the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts (ASHA) in Norcross, GA, and Wonderland Gardens in Decatur, GA. Dr. Janet has also conducted workshops and classes for many organizations, including: Rockdale County Department of Human Resources, Fulton County Office of Children & Youth; Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning; Atlanta Girls’ School; South DeKalb Center for Healthy Living; Bethesda Baptist Church; A Relationship Ministry (ARM); Gas South; Georgia Perimeter College; Cub Scout Troop 1833 at DeKalb Academy of Technology & the Environment (D.A.T.E.), and numerous other community organizations and churches.
Dr. Janet is the author of For the Nourishment of Our Bodies – The Link Between Food and Health; Tips for the Temple – A Mini-Guide to Healthy Living; and the soon to be published, Taking Care of Our Temple – A Guide to Better Health. Dr. Janet is also the author of the Nutrition Boot Camp Training Manual; and the co-author of Four Keys to Healthy Living. Dr. Janet has also written articles for Connect Atlanta, magazine (Fall 2007), Natural Awakenings magazine– Atlanta Edition (December 2008), and Squidoo.com.
Dr. Janet received a Doctorate in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama; a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield; and a Bachelors in Health Education from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
Dr. Janet is the widow of the late Jesse L. Young, Esq., and is the proud mother of two daughters, Jehan and Marrenda.
